ok, having altered the title to reflect some stuff, i was pleasantly surprised after purchasing a copy of performance ford this morning
gone is the out-dated look of the mag, the pull out section format, and in it's place is a nicer layout that most people are used to, with the main featured cars at the start and the techy stuff at the back, rather than the techy stuff in the middle surrounded by featured cars slotted in higgeldy piggldey
other than the one school boy error in a feature (you can look it up yourselves if you want to, or the pf lads can post and ask which one it is

) this revamp HAS worked in making the mag better, the fitting guides for the acusump and the roll cage feature were very detailed and the explanations were easily understandable and the overall mag has been a much more relaxed read rather than the disjointed affair i was used to reading
ok, so it's not as "posh" an affair as the likes of redline/ff/topgear or even ppc are, but the difference has lessened in the same way as buying a skoda is now not a silly decision even though you'll be considered "cooler" tooling about in a cheap bottom of the line audi bceause of a snobbery issue
it's just missing that x factor to bring it back into the same sort of level as the aforementined mags, especially the likes of ff from whom we've come to expect fairly excellent stuff in
A+ for effort though, you are going in the right direction
but let me ask you, how old is that pic of stu
edited to say:
it may only be little old me who's bigging you up, but at least i'm not tearing you up because you have made me spend money of shite
and glenny can rest easy knowing that i won't be sending the pf mafia round looking for him to get my £4.20 back
