I keep having problems getting the car out of gear to change to next gear, its intermitten and does it more from cold but has also done it when warm but not as much.
if i am in 1st gear and goto change to 2nd its like it wont want to come out of 1st gear, if i double d clutch it finaly releases, it also does it from say 3rd to 4th.
its only really started doing this since i had my b&m short shift fitted but can't say 100% its that! just wondered if it is a problem with the gearbox or clutch?
it has a standard rebuilt gearbox with probably uprated bearings and a 4 paddle clutch with standard pressure plate. i also have fitted a mk6 pedal and new cable but that has not solved the problem, if its the gearbox thats fine as i will shortly be going for a different box but if its not then what could it be? my tuner has said its probably the gearbox main shaft but the gearbox isn't noisey or whining. if the car is off or clutch is pressed in it selects all gears with no problems. its doesn't crunch even in reverse.
