hi mate you have to plug in diagnostic tool vw5052 or 5051b it then releases the motors
you can then push the pistons back in the normal way change the pads then go back to diagnostic tool this then winds the motors back up to the newly fitted pads im sur you can get aftermarket diagnostic tools to do it also regards keith vw master tech
