Sounds like you were a pretty big piece of that prosecution case to put those murderers inside, perhaps thats why the police got upset, not that what you said they did was jusitified at all though.
I agree I can see it that way as it was all over the BBC news etc so to them I was messing about but having had them in my house several times, took time to provide a statement, prints, dna swab so they could concentrate on them involved, ID a head unit etc and even gave them a disk with pictures of the car and a spare key still had, I thought I did more than enough. Trouble is there were several receipts with the log book with my full name and address so I was feeling awkward about going to court in front of them. Can totally understand people like the Liverpool Ryce Jones case who actually lived around the people involved wouldn't want to come forward easilly.
They got 30+ years each in the end but the police suddenly turned when things weren't their way. I could easilly have said "don't remember".
