Remember, this bracket serves the function to remove heat from the amplifier module.

Ideally it needs to me mounted on the body work to give thermal contact to dissipate heat .
Also, for electical noise prevention it needs electrical contact with the bodywork too.

I would recomend only painting the front and sides of the module leaving the space under the module itself bare metal too !
