I use it for my server in the kitchen, haven't got a monitor for it so its great to control from the other computer.

I also use it on my parents computer so I can help them out whenever they need some support. Perhaps not the safest way but it only runs when they need help and the firewall is shut otherwise as well plus its set to accept only my IP. So for the short periods I use I doubt would cause any harm.
