you won't end up with no brakes - jsut the same as if a belt breaks you will still have braking - just not ABS. Your dash warning light will be constantly on however (same as if the microswitch plunger falls out as they are prone to).

There's a few topics ref this, so have a read and remove it properly if you don't want ABS anymore.
