I made that manifold, the inner diameter is 44mm. The cylinder 1 runner is in the best place with the turbo sitting how it does. (length and flow)
If you used a standard cossy turbo then you could send the output pipe between the 2. Or with a bigger turbo just angle it slightly as is pictured.

I'l take a photo of the inside of a manifold here to show the purge.
