The symptoms you have are not normal for a CVH. Are you using the S1 sump or later revised sump with full length windage tray? Are you using a S1 or S2 oil pump?

The actual belly of the cvh sump and pick up pipe are excellent in terms of preventing oil starvation as the position of the pick up is just about spot on for both left and right hand corners!
