another trick is to get a tub of grease and pack out both rear arches with it esp on the lip of the arch, this stops moisture getting in and stops any build up of mud/road dirt which can hold water from actually touching metal, this is what i used to do on my daily driver s2 every winter and the arches were still mint 3 years later when i sold it
