I made me own, took a morning and about £15 worth of metal, very easy to do, you can actually feel the difference in hard cornering.
If I welded any of it in it would be the bottom part, the floor section, but the straight across bar bit is just compressive loads so not needed to be welded, so long as securely bolted.
