How much is a half decent 2 litre pinto in these rough specs:

A) cam, tuned a bit, carbs...
B) Standard?
Assuming both engines have a few miles on em, and are in good working order ready to go in a car? £500 tops?


Imagine I had 2wd saff everything in a shell but no engine. Could i just drop a pinto in? Would it mount to a T5 box? (flywheel and clutch depending i guess?)

I'm cunjouring up a supid idea, but chassis work means a YB is out of the question at least for now, so if i dropped it a half decent pinto, I could just swap up to a YB when I get one without having to do too much work?
