When I used a std ford pulley, I machined off the 4 lugs, and after marking the trigger wheel, welded it to the rear of the std ford pulley, always measuring everything.
Result put it on, gap is still within tolerance and the sensor and it's bracket are not even touched, nothing at all to do, went straight on without problem.
I used a 5 1/4" pulley, and got it within 1.2 degrees of TDC so bloody good really.
My car is 2wd cossie.
