Yes Q plates are still issued

SVA and registering a new car:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring...cle/DG_4022486

SVA requirement works on a points system. To keep the original identity, you need 8 points.

Original chassis/shell = 5 points
Suspension = 2 points
Both original axles = 2 points
Transmission = 2 points
Steering assembly = 2 points
Engine = 1 point

as the shell aint registered it will be Q'd, as im guessing u can only have 5 points from the cars chassis/body if u went straight for a registration.

If u sva, youd probably get an age related plate.

wont be a problem its not like a kit car! its a normal production car so should fly through, as all the sva is is a through mot basically

best give them a call mate, they can tell u for sure, get it in writing as wel!!!
