I know early Bosch ETMs require a PWM signal and an analogue backup/reference signal. One of these signals is sent over CAN bus from the ECM and the other direct from the accelerator pedal.

I could get you signal parameters tomorrow at work for a couple of variations of ETM however, i dont think there is simply an on/off option
