Odds are he drove off cause he was over the limit so didnt want to be breathalysed, you might find him perfectly reasonable about it now he is sober and has nothing to worry about, and he may be prepared now to hand over his insurance details etc.
Na no one knew who he was, and the manager said he hasnt seen the car before as far as he can remember, so might of been a offchance he was passing and decided to stop for a beer or ten,
