the S1 used an oil cooled turbo which had a larger oil jacket and the S2 one was oil and watercooled with a smaller oil jacket!
the disadvantage of watercooled one's are higher engine temps!
not had any experence with Newman cam's though!
why do you need to cool the turbo .most turbo's were not cooled year's a go and most diesal turbo's are not water cooled .ball bearing turbo's need to be watercooled as they have a restrictor in them and can not use the oil to take the heat out of the shaft .
you are right about having a oil cooler though this will help
