but my point was the turbo will be fine, not that the guy will be rallying....

If a turbo with water geed can be disconnected and be safely used for rallying then surely a road car will be fine with them removed.

Ford only put them on to regulate temps (not best for performance but good for turbo life)....however observing warm up and cool down precedures mean you can safely bin them.
