Basically yes.
The reality is he didn't make it there in the first place, despite posting on friday that he was going, and despite the various PMs we exchanged.
He has my tel no, and didn't even make the 2 minute effort of texting to say he wasn't going to be able to give us the run we were relying on.

Fair play he offered the lift as a favour, including delivering us to the door, but when he then doesn't show and doesn't even contact us he just lives up to the reputation we all know and have read about on here time and time again.

For the record,
AJ gave us a lift 110 miles of the journey and at least 1 hour out of his way to drop us at Birmingham New St Station, and
Robin (a local friend) went on a 50 mile, 1 hour journey in shitty weather to take us home from the station at Taunton.
