i'd personally say give the offshore lifestyle a bit longer before you make your mind up.

im looking to possibly go offshore in the very near future, sick of working for a crap car manufacturing plant in sunderland where they treat you like turd

i also agree with the comment about possibly spending more quality time with the wife/kids working the 2wks on 2wks off style compared to normal shiftwork.
