You may not realise that when a cossie accelerates it squats causing the wheels to go out thus causing less tyre contact to road...the assistors keep more tyre on the road so more grip.
If you sort the backend out with a beam that doesnt camber the wheels up, then you dont have to bodge it up to stop it squatting anymore and you can make use of the extra weight transfer, but yeah fair point on the crappy standard setup, i thought you had a decent rear beam in that car for some reason like rod does.
Ive actually got sprint assistors in mine as it happens, cause im on a shitty standard rear beam, just didnt realise you were too!
