Just stop and think about it though, imagine if insurance compaines really COULD choose not to cover you on certain roads.
"hmm, kings road in brum had 4 accidents last year, you arent allowed on that, the A38 from taunton to bristol is exluded......" etc
It would be a fucking nightmare to try and police when they pull you over!
cop: "is your car insured"
you: "yes"
cop: "please show me the list of roads you are covered or not covered on"
Aint EVER going to happen like that, as long as the ring is a road with speed limits etc they have no chance of avoiding it.
The 'Ring has gained in popularity along with trackdays in general in the last 5 years and insurance companies are getting wise to it and wording policies accordingly.
I spoke to both my broker [Privilege] and even to their underwriter on this very topic and was told that my car was NOT insured for the 'Ring at any time plus that if God forbid I crashed and maimed or killed a passenger I would be liable/risk prosecution. Just being covered for a bit of Armoco isn't being properly covered by insurance
You can get separate 'Ring policies now
