A std CRT monitor will support refresh rates far beyond what a TFT will support. Put it on the Std Crt and knock the refresh rate back to 60Hz, stick the TFT on again and try it.
The HD hasn't been touched, it is the exact same as it was also Windows. The problem occured whilsed using the old set up, but was deffo hardware prob as when it did load up I checked the set up. I only powered it up after fitting the M/B to make sure everything was fine and could get a picture. Was spot on
