if i use the melted relay, the relays electromagnet contact thingy closes when cranking, but doesnt prime (even though contacts are closed)
That suggests that the pulses from the coil and the related circuits
ARE working perfectly but the circuit through the contacts is open.
if i use the new relay, she doesnt close when cranking, but does prime if you close the contact by hand
Where as that suggests that the pulses from the coil and related circuits are
NOT working and the circuit through the contact is working correctly!

i will have another look in the light tomorrow...
i am thinking that i may have a fucked new relay
