FEW things i didnt realise about the new mot!

The tester has to Swipe his personal card thru the machine, and enter
a PIN number before the test can even begin.

milage is recorded at mot, then again IF a retest is needed, so the DVLA
can see how far the car has gone to get repaired (to see if the garage is pulling a fast one, getting round the re-test charge)

There is a bar code on your new MOT form, unique to your cert.
that gets scanned at the post office when you get tax. which is another way
they are getting round fake MOT certs.

so the DVLA now know(almost instantly)
where and when the MOT is.
exactly what the car failed on at MOT (If it did)
how far it went before getting repaired,
how long it took to get repaired.
where and when you get your tax.
lol

big brother is watching. lol

I know MOTS are there for the cars safety and all, i agree with all that,
but they have just ended up making it a right hassle.


anyway.. car pass at mot for another year.
