Default Track Tyre question?? What brand??

Has anyone had any experience with the Nankang NS2 track tyre?
Seems exceptional value compared to tyres such as 888's as an example!
All opinions and advice welcome.
Thanks in advance.

I have the new nankangs on my golf gti. Just come back from the nurburgring and they really impressed me. I got the 120 rated ones as there the softer ones. Im abit of a snob when it comes to tyres but I got told these are up and coming and will be as popular as the r888s as there slightly cheaper. Honestly thought they would be shite but they never let go and got better tge warmer they got.

Our Cameron has got the Nankangs on his Focus but the 180's as he uses it every day, he is well pleased with them.

I've just put the Federals on the 3 Door and they grip better than the Toyo TR1 I've used for ages.

I think they are both fine for the money

Appreciate the feedback mate, I presume the slightly dearer ones are softer compound hence track only!
Think I might try some of these.
Cheers

federal are not quite as good as 888 or dunlop direzzas etc but they are still a mile better than road tyres on track. i lapped llandow circuit 1.7secs faster with federals than with road tyre toyo proxes 4s. the wet grip is also very impressive. at more than half the price they are awesome value for money
