Can RL7's be shot blasted and secondly can they be powdercoated?

i think the problem is keeping the powderocat on these rims due to the magnesium in them .

Yes mate, REALLY happy with them but another set of wheels just come up which were my first choice so now for sale

the ears are alloy so not as big a prob i think steve
i have 10 rl7 wheels 17x8 in the garage all needing a refurb,as the paint on them comes off in sheets lol

Just sand blast and have em painted?
Will regular etch primer work for magnesium? If so you can use a zinc etch primer like EtchWeld from Bilt Hamber which is suitable for use under powder coating

I had my ears wheels painted as they were powder coated when I had them which I didn't think was much good compared to a decent paint. Quite flat in comparisson.

Yeah they can be a little muted.
Tougher than paint though. Depends on the finish and colour you want.
