There is usualy a bit of a get together down my way most sundays, not just fords theres a bit of everything there. There hasnt been much goin on l8ly tho, probably down to the shite weather, but will more than likely start again in the new year. Rarely get the police pokin their noses in too, which is nice

I put similar post on rsoc! Nothing!!! Lol. I'm near Neath / Swansea but my s2 Rst has a rotten sunroof at no so can't come out in rain - although apparently rsoc have monthly meet at jersey marine towers hotel... Hoping to get there end of January!

Paul.V did mention to me on RSOC that there are meets at Jersey marine (Towers hotel) end of month and also one in cardiff at beginning of month!
Anyone wants to go, PM me and Paul.v and we'll have a drive out and see what's what...

You've hit it on the head there mate.... Everyone meet up together somewhere like Cardiff / Swansea..... wherever is most convenient and then have a nice steady road trip somewhere... Hopefully have found a sunroof for my S2 then just in case its raining lol.

i've been thinking of setting up a multi meet for a while now, done a few 2 years ago
at J47 services on M4 but had 2 many chavs turning up making it look like a cruise which
put a lot of the genuine ford enthusiasts off.

Put a sign up.... "NO CHAVS WELCOME!" lol
Once they turn up, they start wheel spinning, pissing locals and other people off and thats when the fuzz turn up and it spoils it all!

ford fanatics are planning on holding an all Ford show at Resolven indoor
market grounds in neath but i'm not sure of the date yet.

Sarn Services again on the M4 could be a good meeting place, i think thats jct36? Maybe as well not only a meeting point but a could place to start a run out from, and maybe with a bit of time and effort a Treasure Hunt run??

Steve... That meet in Resolven would be ideal - 'Coz I live here!' lol. As for junction 36, definitely sounds about right place within reach of swansea, cardiff and other places etc.... then soomeone to lead the road.... but where do you head to on a run out or is it kind of a loop?

the resolven thing would be a full on show rather than a meet, yes sarn services would be a great starting point for a run, the problem you got at this time of year is most people take their cars off the road until show season starts which is usually around march time.
we did a run a few months back with my club (Blue Oval Enthusiasts Club) for our south wales members, we headed up through the rhondda valleys to brecon then abergavenny, raglan and back on the m4 and home, it was a great day out with a couple of photoshoots and some grub thrown in along the way.

Good list and covered the clubs I can think of - plenty around with different vibes & styles of club.

For anyone looking for meets soon - welshford are doing a meet with some guys at ffoc (ford focus oc) but anyone is invited. That's on the 22nd of Jan and will be a drive around Brecon with pictures etc. Meeting for that's in Merthyr but time/place will be confirmed asap.

We're also doing a rolling road day on the 1st April @ GotBoost in Bridgend. Anyone & any car is welcome as the higher numbers we get the cheaper everyone gets the run for.

There's also a few shows etc coming up that anyone is welcome along to with us - performance action day for example is the 28th of April and we're looking at 60+ cars at the moment but no doubt there will be the usual drop-outs closer to the day.

Everyone is more than welcome along to any welshford meet/event!

course your more than welcome - once it's confirmed i'll get an update on here. as long as the weather holds off it's looking promising. the focus clan is quite small in wales so it'll be quite a mixed group of cars no doubt anyway

Here's the exact route we're taking

Leave (possibly merthyr tesco after some brekkie) Merthyr Tydfil on the A465 towards Neath
After approx. 3 miles turn right at the roundabout onto the A470 in the direction of Brecon
You will now be travelling in the Brecon Beacons you will soon find a number of great views to see we will be making a few stops here for photo opportunities
We will continue North Bound up the A470 until we arrive at the junction with the A4125
Turn left onto the A4125 travel for approx. 5 miles until the junction with the A4067
Turn left onto the A4067 you are now entering the Black Mountains
Continue on approx. 5 miles south bound down the A4067 until the Cray Reservoir
This is an excellent place for photo’s again we will be stopping here.
Continue on approx. 6 miles down the A4067 until you reach the A4221
Turn left onto the A4221 towards Glyn Neath until you reach the A465
Turn left onto the A 465 in the direction of Merthyr Tydfil until you reach the A470
