Cosworth carbon, what do YOU want!
Hi chaps, been speaking with Raj at Autoflock.
Raj does a lot of composite work and next weekend I'll be winging my way over to wales for him to mould my saff cossie rear bumper for a carbon fibre exhaust heat shield
Does anyone have any other ideas on carbon parts that I could take along with me or we could get raj to do in the future?
Post up your ideas and wants/needs folks
Jim

I reckon there would be good interest. especially from the swedes and norweigans and maltese. they dont seem to care abouy keeping things factory. Plus i think my white 3 door would look ace with them. Give me first refusal mate if you decide. ill have them in the post same day recorded to you

Raj you need to be careful here, this will either make or break your business, just because performance trim have gone out of business for now doesn't mean they won't be back under another name. Those molds are worth so much money that they cant afford not to go back into business or sell the molds to someone who will then start producing items enmasse that you wouldn't be able to compete with.
I'm not meaning to sound negative but you come across as a decent chap, i just don't want to see shit go bad for you.

front 500 splitters front rouse.
Ive seen on the internet you can get these lips to make a rear cosworth 3 door spoiler into a 500 but requires painting really why not have a stick on carbon one and one for a saff to give me downforce. Scuttles b c pillars dash surronds cowlings.
I have been thinking about getting my wheels done they put a gel and laquer on. Quoted 75 a wheel. Happy for you to give them a go if you think you could do cheaper as a trial etc.
Cheers
Ian
Want a bumper heat shield would love a flickie up spoiler like a 500 on a saff spoiler scuttle the list goes on. Already got alot of carbon on mine.

raj would you be able to do a wrc subaru style wing mirror for a evo x? bit of a problem at moment with the group n rally car breaking them because the standards stick out too far. Rallyart are gone so no one is making any.

thanks for the advice, im pretty confident Autoflock Motorsport is able to hold its own regardless of the competition, at the mo there are only small parts in the pipeline, we are mainly concerntrating on the jap and french stuff as we have had a close look an the market and feel we can bring some good products to the table and be competative.
In the ford scene it is mainly about interest over business, I myself have made some great friends on here and ALL of the compsite work we have done and are working on are from friends asking for parts, my personal attitude is to make a part, price it on materials and timetaken and then see how it gets on regardless of what the company down the road is doing.
If someone wants a part doing and we think its worthwhile having a go then we will, we can only say to the customer yes or no about having a go in the first place.
Performance trim seemed to have had the ford scene and the vag scene pretty much cornered off which is why we have not really pushed anything in those areas, I just thought it might be worthwhile asking Jimbo to ask around for any other ideas of what people may want, I mean there is less money in developing parts for older cars as there is new, so I thought maybe people would welcome a company such as ourselves trying to develop some new products?
Anyway early days yet so we will just start with a few things from the silver fox's sporn when he arrives next week and see how we get on.
And dont worry about this making or breaking autoflock, if we cannot make a product to a standard we see fit for market then it doesnt go out the door, and if someone else starts producing the same product then its up to the consumer to choose, all we can say is we have done our best. There is always going to be competition, its how you deal with customers and the standard of products which ensures your place within the market place.
I have yet to se any other firm illustrate with photo diaries the process of what they do, people know exactly what they get for their hard earned cash when they come to us.
Christ thats another epicly long post. Sorry for anyone not interested in this

Direct replica please mate, would have put that on reply but ipod touch had a dicky fit
scuttle panel sounds good though i imagine the raised parts would be awkward so a smooth one would do me
Where do i post my parts bits to for moulding
