High idling 4x4 cossie
it seems to be idling at around 1500rpm, i thought it mite be the idle speed control valve, but i'm not sure, anything else that can cause the problem???? If i disconnect the sensor it goes to normal, but when i reconnect it, it goes up again.....
Thanks in advance,
Rog.

Testing the future
what you have done is to rule out the iscv. when not connected, it clearly has no influence on the idle speed, which is correct. when you connect it, it is getting a signal and increasing the idle speed for some reason. usually this is another sensor problem, maybe the throttle positon sensor or another one.
there aren't many sensors, and this website describes how to test each one. have a read of it and see how you get on. report back with what you find.
the first job to do is to put a fault code reader on to your ecu and see if that tells you anything. there is a plug for it in the ecu loom, quite close to the ecu behind the glovebox. the website above, tells you how to do it.
