Default compression ratio for supercharged xr4i

What is the best compression ratio for a 3.1 cologne v6.

i want to run a sprintex supercharger. But my engine has a compression ratio of 9.9:1 now.

Is this to high to run a intercooled supercharger at 7/8PSI?

It would depend on what type of pistons you have forged or cast.

Don't think your boost of 8psi will be too much. I guess it depends how well it it mapped/tuned and cooled.
Would have liked to have seen forged pistons but saying that some pistons are squeeze cast which again are stronger than cast.

Hopefully Stevie will see this thread and help you out.

Thanks! the kit normally runs on a stock 2.8 with 9.2:1 compression. I don't know which fuel system im going to use. Kjet or EFI.

I would look into running efi on a aftermarket ecu to get the best from what you got. It will also help for future upgrades lower comp more boost etc.
