BD16 cams.
Looking for a bit of advice in regard to BD16 cams
Currently running a T38 turbo and I' fitting a BD16 inlet cam as I'm looking to loosen up the head flow.
I'm trying to decide which cam to fit on the exhaust side. From reading it would seem that fitting a BD16 on the exhaust side isn't the done thing. As keeping the standard exhaust cam keeps the torque curve strong, but makes the turbo very laggy.
My question? If I fit the BD10 or say a BD14 on the exhaust side will it improve response at the expence of torque. As my car is a track car I could live with the loss of low down torque if peak power and response will improve.
Additionally, as I'm doing the cam change I may also fit double valve springs so I can run upto 8000rpm.
Thanks
