Boost control, Cosworth
Quicky.
Stage 3 Saff 4x4 on standard T3. dark greens 3 bar map etc etc.
Only peaking at 1.25 bar and holding 1 bar. Plumbed turbo direct to actuator with 1/2 hole of preload and its lifting at 0.55 bar approx (8psi). so actuator looks ok i think and Amal valve is performing some kin of boost control, but cant get it boosting any higher that above. Is that not low for this setup? i would have thought it should be peaking around 24psi and holding 20-22psi. (obviously tuner dependant, but still seem very low).
Any ideas? could it be a dodgy amal valve. >?
Note: The original qouted boost results were with a full 1 hole and a bit extra of actuator preload, so previous owner has obviously been trying to raise boost unsuccessfully.

At that spec a simple increase in the jet size in port R will allow the amal to bleed more air and increase boost.
Just make sure you monitor AFR and for det while doing so.
