Default N/A ZVH engine???

has anyone ever built one? thinking of doing one for my mk3 xr3i. the reason being i want to keep it looking original under the bonnet as ford intended.i know full zetec would be easier and give more power bla bla but i just want maybe an extra 20-30 bhp with some cvh head work/cam and 2.0 bottom end .would the mfi be up to fueling one?

I built/use one (tho 1.8 bottom end) following me absolutely obliterating my CVH and needing to build something quick. Mines all on Mfi, its easily capable

I skimmed the head quite a bit to bring comp ratio up. It was a power drop for me as my CVH (n/a) had absolutely the best of the best at the time. But its a daily driver and the ZVH suits traffic and general cruising far better.
I imagine on a standard CVH, a zvh would feel far better even on a standard port skimmed head and decent cam purely from the torque benifit

2lt is perfectly do-able however there is extra welding required on the mating surface (well documented if you google).

Skimmed 1.5mm or maybe 2 (it was a good 3yrs ago) bought comp upto around 11:1

However this leaves very little margin for error on the head going forward.. as in dont warp it as you have little meat to re-skim
