We as complete novices changed over the clutch and dual mass in my ST170, last night we finally got it back into a position where it looks like a car again,

Only problem is we can go forwards but it wont go into reverse, with engine running its like reverse gear isnt there at all, engine off it feels like I can go into reverse, but if I start it whilst there, and lift the clutch it is back it trys to go forwards.

is there anything anyone can think of that could cause this, like a simple novice mistake etc, only differences are its a 240 clutch kit from 230, we cant see anythign else wrong,

Have you adjusted the cables. When my work mate ownedy st17O he couldnt get reverse. It took me 20mins to adjust the cables and 2 roadtests.

Clutch was in backwards. All back together but now clutch pipe has now split
