Default Mk3/4 escort rear suspension bush help

I'd like to replace the rear bushes in the trailing arm rear suspension in my cabby,
I don't want to use poly bushes.
Can you still get standard replacement bushes?

Would anyone be willing to share a list of ford part numbers for replacement parts or good suppliers, as it seems to vary massively

Thanks in advance
Rich

Ford dont actually list the bushes seperate of the wishbones so they are non-serviceable unless you use poly.

The actual trailing arms however:
6635775 - arm to chassis bush
1652910 - arm to spindle (2 needed per side)

So the normal procedure would be to replce the entire trailing arm?

Are you talking about these, as these are trailing arms...

In which case, no, as above Ive given you the Finis' to replace the bushes.

If your talking about wishbones then replacement or poly

Nope the wishbone bushes cannot be replaced with ford OE parts as Ford do not produce these seperately.

Ive run poly on mine for years and no issues. My whole cars poly'd and is a daily. Some people dont like the added harshness but its never bothered me.
Poly'ing the rear wishbones only will make naff all difference other than taking up the slop the original bushes will inevitably have

Yup they look right. Tho personally I'd try find 2 piece inner bushes rather than 3 piece!

Something like:

Just a quick note,
the poly bushes from Matt Lewis racing are excellent, next day service, and once id pressed the old bush sleeves out .. Yes the Bush SLEEVES, they fitted perfectly,

Looking at the forums, it looks like some poly bushes are desgned smaller so you only have to burn the rubber part out as its easier, but the correct way, is to either press the entire bush with sleeve out, or failing that, as after 27 years they are a bit stuck in their ways, to simply burn the rubber bit out and buy some that fit inside the old sleeve.

Anyway, once the car is on the road, ill comment on the ride, but fitting is perfect, pushed straight in and nice and tight.

Great work Matt Lewis racing... super value too
