Right! heres the problem i have a 2wd cosworth with a new water pum new 50mm core ally radiator new thermostat new coolant hoses and after all this the cars temp gauge shoots up into the red and the water in the header tank never gets hot always freezing cold! there is absolutley no flow into the head from the turbo (T34) this problem was there even wiith the old radiator/pump/stat etc for the love of god i cannot work this out! if anybody on here can lead me to the problem i would even deposit you some beer tokens into your bank/paypal lol im really that sick now. any help to solve this would be great. Thanks!!

I was going to say Thermostat maybe. Have you checked it is def a 2wd stat and housing and not 4WD. Have you checked the water pump just to be sure? and then bled up the system? Also check and double check that you have not mixed up any of the pipework...your brain will be telling you NO but forget that and check again.
If it was the same as when the other items were on the car I would be looking at the water pump and then making up a bung and trying to flow some air through things like the head and the water to oil cooler (assuming it has one) just don't put too much pressure in there.

hi mate cheers for the reply, it did this before the new water pump this is the reason ive changed everything ive even tried blocking the turbo water pipes and running a pipe from the stat housing directly to the header but its still not flowing. Thanks.

No flow seems very odd.

ive also noticed very slight traces of water in the oil (white) so you could well be right. in a way i hope it is the gasket as at least i know i can sort it i wouldnt car but the car has only done a couple of hundred mile since it was put together im now wondering if the head is cracked

Too many posts.. I need a life!!

boilover
i dont want a cent for advice but also check the turbo core isnt superheating the water-join the two turbo cooling hoses and see if its better over a reasonable run
i had this issue on one of the first turbo technics s205 on an evo
i will add this was promptly replaced under warranty by them via enginetuner
