Mondeo heated seat NOT elements
Hi all! at my wits end !!!!!. Mondeo 3 Facelift driver heated seat not working and it does not seem to be the pads . with my limited knowledge with multimeter, I have stripped seat and all seem to me to be fine, no resisitance where I would expect none and resistance where I would expect it. Climate fan working -just not the element pad heating. Passenger seat working perfectly- so presume not fuse and not relay. The switch illuminates red/heat, blue/cooling, as it should. Can switch illuminate but not work to the seat???
I dont seem to have any terminal in the multiplug from the floor to the seat becoming live when I switch on- but I dont seem to have any terminal becoming live when the fans for cooling come on either- yet they work!!!!
Can anyone help? or have experience of something other than pads, relays and fuses making a seat not work ????
thanks in advance

I dont seem to haveany terminal in the block connector from the floor/loom getting any voltage when I switch on the switch. Also the seat base ANDthe back arent working (which they both were). If an element ,either shud work and not the other(unless the pads in the back ANDthe pads in the base both packed up at around the same time). Ss said cant find any voltage -yet fans work !!!!

If it's the heater cooled seats they have a little box o tricks in the seat base which does the heating and cooling
If this is kaput it could also be the case
The wires of the facelifted seats are in different places to preface buy the colours are the same if that's any consolation, I'd let you know exactly what was what but I'm not home till 2am

That box seems to b ok as well. I have resistance across the terminals in the block connectors. In th feed from the loom in the floor,I have 1terminal perm live-this seems to be the seat motor.i have another live when the ignition is turned on.when I switch the seat heat on ,I dont get any other terminal live. Is this correct?? Is the switch switching the earth or something???
