Sapphire 4x4 running rich while driving along
Hi there I've got a 1992 sapphire cosworth 4x4
Spec is:
Stage 2 msd chip l8 ecu running closed loop
Bosch green injectors
Rs500 intercooler
3 bar map sensor
All the sensors changed recently
Bosch 044 fuel pump getting 11.52 volts to it with new loom and relays
The problem im having is as im driving along normally all of a sudden it'll run rich when this happens it runs at 10.00 on my efr gauge and it'll cough and splutter then sort it self out for a little bit then start to do it again, it seems
To occure between 1-3000rpm driving normally
Just wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction, I use the car everyday so it's starting to get a little annoying now...

Hi mate, could be all manner of things really,
id start with rewiring the alternator to battery, try to increase voltage to the battery, and in turn this will aid the pump voltage.
As for the running issue, a set up would be a good place to start, get some data from the ECU and see exactly whats going on, if its not already had one the issue could well be related to the engine loom and connections.
