Default 2 Litre Zetec into MK3 Escort

Hi, I've already picked out a lot of info off this site for the conversion, and have sorted usual oil and water pump, sump, clutch etc, and have the engine and box bolted into the car. What I have received conflicting info about though, is whether to use the CVH alternator and starter motor, or the ones off the Zetec. All advice appreciated, thanks.

Use the CVH starter (assuming BC box) and alternator with the zetec pulley & belt, think there's two sorts of CVH alternator but only one will take the zetec pully

edit you might need a different belt, mines a 6pk923

Don't like to sound too thick, but what is BC box? Pulley does fit on my CVH alternator, thanks for help.

Oh sorry the old Mk3/4 Escort or Mk2/3 Fiesta box, not the IB5 (I think) out of the zetec-engined cars

You might need a bracket to lower the alternator bracket further down the engine, I did on a mk4, should be similar.

Edit to add that's if your using a Blacktop zetec.

Think you also need a reverse pulley for water pump on the blacktop?

Its a silver top, have changed water pump to turn the correct direction with the PAS pump removed. Next problem will be the ECU, I have a PATS one, but no key.
