Default Upgrading to 044 Fuel Pump

My fuel pump has gone on my sierra cosworth 4x4 and I need to replace it and the wiring. It is currently just a standard pump but I'd like to replace it with a Bosch 044. Does the car need to be remapped or can I just upgrade the fuel pump?

Default pump

if your own pump has been struggling it will be worth checking the fuel pressure and mixture at idle after fitting a new pump and filter...always better safe than sorry, although its better to overfuel a tad than run lean

how do you test fuel pressure? i have a problem with my fuel tank, i replaced it recently and now it's not venting properly (petrol squirter keeps clicking off when i fill it up). I dropped the tank yesterday but couldn't find anything wrong but i'm guessing this could have caused the fuel pump to stop working, anybody had a problem with this before?
