Kuga 2.0 tdci hesitation when cold - help.
Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help with a problem I have with my Ford Kuga MK1 2.0 TDCI.
The car has developed a hesitation and judder between 1800 & 2000 rpm but it only happens when the outside temp is above 5 deg. The judder happens in 3rd and 4th on a light throttle and feels like the car is in the wrong gear but is not.
The car has done 108,000 with full service history and has just had a full service - all filters, oil & cambelt. It has really started to annoying.
I'm about to take it into the dealer but would like to have an idea where the problem could be before I have the wool pulled over my eyes and wallet emptied. I'm scared they are going to say new turbo, clutch and this and that.
I have read various posts about judder and hesitation e.g intercooler pipe and Maf sensor could these be the problem but whats throwing me is that when its cold like the last few days it goes like a steam train and then when it warms up it gets sluggish with the hesitation.
Any help much appreciated.
