Default Radiator flush

Ive got some rad flush in an attempt to clean the heater matrix up so I can have warm air

Is it just a case of putting it in the header tank then running the car for a bit?

Yeah throw it in as give it a good drive up to temp with the heater on.dont hold out too much hope, the super fine cores in most of the heater matrices can't be flushed easily

No I don't hold much hope but for a fiver it cant hurt.

Even If I get a trickle of warm air id be happy for now until the summer when I can get the dash out!

I did manage to flush one out a bit many years ago with a jetwash!!

Disconnected the pipes at the bulkhead and from memory it worked pretty good!

Get down your local Daf trucks place and get some of are trp coolant flush! Really good strong stuff used for flushing cooling systems when the oil cooler go's. You put it in mixed with the right amount of water and run it for a few days

Default matrix

i have had decent results before flushing out both ways[flow and reverse]...usually with a mains hose decent pressure, had a steam cleaner hose on too before-cause if matrix is choked it can be a case of fook it or fix it...

Yea I did mine both ways, from memory actually left the hoses on at the bulkhead and stuck the lance in the ends as they were hard to get too!!
