Ford Focus 1.8 tdci 04 reg
Really need some help.
We've recently replaced the DMF and clutch on my Ford Focus 1.8 tdci. Everything went back together ok, but now the car will not start. Have investigated and it appears no diesal is getting through to the injectors. Is there a way to test the power going to the pump. Can anyone advise, has anyone else had the same problem.
Cheers Paul

Focus non start
Thanks for reply far as I am aware the earth is ok, the engine turns over fast but no fire. After undoing the injector pipe nuts when turning the engine over we have no diesel coming out of the pipes. Is it a possibility we have an air lock, does the system self bleed? Cheers Paul

Other than the injectors, the pipes going to the fuel filter have been removed to check fuel going to filter. Other than that nothing else been touched. What would you suggest is the best way the get the fuel going?

Normally you would need to hand prime the system but you might get away with brimming the filter with diesel, loosen the injector pipes and cranking until you get fuel spraying out. Tighten the pipes then it should fire.
If you didn't disturb the fuel system while you did the clutch though I shouldn't think it is an air lock. Worth a try though!
