Default anyone put a puma 1.7 into an early mk4 fiesta

My car is 97 1.25, I want to convert it to 1.7, as im pre obd2 which came in 98 I have to change my car from obd to obd2 in order to fit the pumas ecu, does anyone know if the engine bay and dash loom from 2000 puma will simply pop into place or will the whole cars loom have to be changed??

Yeah I done it in a pre-digital fiesta. You need ecu and loom to match the age of your fiesta. So if yours is an analogue dash then you need from the same style puma.

Ah just checked wikipedia they were there in 97 allright! Cant believe I missed that!
Pity I have my donor 2000 car allready, a trip to the junkyard is in order!
Any other pitfalls? Im gonna get the key from the car I get the loom and ecu from and tape it to the key reader so I dont have to change my locks
Would you know if the 97 loom will fit my 00 engine or is there differences

Yeah the engines are the same. With the key you'll just need to get the chip out from.under the red tab...and fit into your key.
