Default Flooding

My 3dr 1986 Cosworth keeps flooding. It has been in the shed for 12 years but starts and runs fine sometimes, then just keeps flooding. Take the plugs out and you can see the petrol filling the bores!

The fuel is in the bores so may be the injectors staying open?? I am in darkest Donegal in Ireland so no one to take her too.

How would I check it out myself!!!!!! I'm OK with tractor engines!!!

Thanks for your help

Default fuel

fuel can get in the bores via the fpr too-it fills the inlet manifold sucking fuel via the burst diaphragm
cheap fix if it is-well for a cossie lol
injectors can stick open with ecu/driver issues etc-an ecu is cheap now too
have a wee check of the fpr vac pipe...
edited to add it could be a short on injector wire-earthing it out keeping it open the minute igniton is on
