Default Indicators malfunctioning. Mk1 Sierra

What would cause the indicators to click faster on one side than the other ?

I have changed/cleaned fuses and checked earths etc......can't see any broken wires in indicator/headlight looms aswell

Also the left side repeater will not work at all aswell as the front right indicator ... Would it be the switch on the stalk itself that is causing it go be erratic?

All bulbs are perfect

Any suggestions ?

remove all the bulbs

clean up the contacts

replace bulbs

if it's the switch then nothing works other than the hazard lights

What would cause one side to flash faster than the other ?

Out of curiosity if fuse was dirty would some lights works or would none work?

Double check the bulbs again mate, I know they may work BUT

I had an XR2 and one side would flash faster (as if a bulb had gone) and it had the wrong bulb in the front.

It was a 24v commercial bulb, I swapped it for a 12v and everything worked again

Did you check the relay? If the fuse were the prob, not one indicator would work, if I'm not wrong ....

Oh, have to correct my thoughts: seems not the relay, cause both sides would click faster then, but who knows

Got the front indicator sorted today... Seal had perished in the bulb holder and water got in and had corroded the earth. Quick wire brush and change of bulb and it's working again. Didn't have time to check the side repeater so hopefully the same problem !
