3000-4000 idle!!!!
What can cause this, tried a new ICV but no joy the revs came down but it still didn't run right, no air leaks and checked the blue sensor.
Could it be a bad TPS???

Not sure it can be checked via ecu, I'm gonna call the tuner tomoz, it's on a Escort Turb, I have been advised of an air leak but I can't see one.
Gonna have a proper look with It ticking over on a deserted pub car park this week.

Hi Martin,
Yes disconnected and no diff, I've squirted the whole top half of engine with clutch and break cleaner to find any change in the engine note and no diff, I took off the boost pipe that goes to the ecu and boost gauge and it makes big difference so I guess it's connected to that. Going to have to source some thin pipe from some where to do further tests.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
I doubt a 4mm pipe leaking will make it do 3000-4000rpm, must be a massive leak (brake servo/pipe?) to make it rev that high.
Is the throttle closing?

Do you have a D/V?
Also from what you are saying your reference hose is shared with the boost gauge? This is not good practice, the MAP sensor, along with the FPR should have a dedicated connection!
Disconnect the boost gauge and see what happens...
