Big pain!!! 260 RST!!
Long term experts and know alls required!!!!!
Hi All!!
Fully built RST S2 just had new loom ecu and mapped .. goes like a train....however this comes with a world of sH*t!
The darn thing wont stop producing mayonnaise and leaking oil.
In the non-baffled large breather is i swear a mayonnaise maker as every week this gets nigh on two table spoons of the stuff, i assume its because its cold and this darn shiny thing loves to condensate why isnt it made of plastic for crying out loud!!! (Head gasket fine, Payen)
Ok now the sumps been leaking so for the third time back on the stands brand new sump on new gasket which has been placed on the sump with victor rienze gasket sealant the night before so its in place and fixed.. then bolted up to the block and fitted with nut lock on all bolts...Great cured...then two weeks later drip, drip, drip! Its even coming out the sides of the rocker box gasket up top too... My take on this is that the fully synth Titan race oil combined with the high pressure oil pump combined with the power of the engine combined with its age is never going to be curable.
I even filled it between minimum and max so to alleviate the pressure a little bit hell no, no difference I NEED HELP! Before i drive this money gusling pain in the ass off a cliff.

Jamie's old car, have you changed the management to a different type?
You don't use sealant on a cvh sump gasket.
Are you using a cork or rubber rocker cover gasket?
Is it using coolant? are you doing long or short runs? is it a bailey breather on it?

Are you sure it's Deffo the sump gasket and not front or rear crank seals ?
I use cork top gasket with metal flints in it to avoid over tightening
If bailey breather are you running to atomphere or back to metering unit if on mfi ?

Hi,
Yes its on stand alone management now, ill try without the sealant as i cant say ive tried that fix recently and the top one is cork both gaskets at victor r, Its a non bailey breather with no baffles so fairly sure this is fit for the bin and just a bit of bling me thinks...No metering unit on it so just running to atmos....
How do your cars run, is there a big power 1.6 on here without oil leaks...i bet there int????
Coolant wise its not moved..mainly doing good drives 5 miles or more and always foot to carpet when the roads safe enough...
Regards Ryan.

I bet there is. Plenty of oily shitty standard CVH's in n/a & turbo form. These engines leak when they're thrown together or people don't understand how a torque wrench works. Plenty of leak free CVH's, big power and not

Oh cossy managements a bit old now and the wiring ent to reliable under all that wrapping, stand alone is far more mappable and tunable, i booted the old dear from Northampton to Stafford up the M1, M42 then filled it back up...only used £12 of fuel, not bad in my books for 2hrs plus motoring...
If anybody lives close to myself id welcome an invite to see how your car drives and runs just to see it to believe it really...
New fault is that its now ticking over at 3000-3500 rpm!!!! Tried a new ICV and tested the blue sensor but nowt, could it be a bad TPS???

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
Alright chap, where you based in west mids, I work for a local engine development company and we use a Loctite RTV sealant on sumps, coverplates and various other applications for high performance motors 500bhp+.
Might be able to help out if you need it, I'm over castle brom way. I'd definitely say you need a baffled bailey type breather system.
