Forged 2.1 zetec turbo (please help )
Hi
I could really do with some help.
I'm on having a zetec turbo built and the problem I have is the crown of the pistons are sticking above the block by 2 mm?
Williams h beam rods and wossner c20 let pistons.
Silver top engine.
I didn't think you needed a decomp plate when done this way?
Cheers ant

Not sure but think I can remember seeing people using silver top bottom with black top head??? And maybe an RS focus head gasket... let me see if I can find the link

What rods did you get? Because Silvertop and Blacktop have different length rods.

Hi
Thanks for the link but I think that is a diffrent way of building a zit ,but all my research said to use the components iv used.
Rods I bought were for the silver top but I will go today and measure them as I know the black top ones were 4mm bigger.

Thanks guys you've been a big help
That pic is what I needed to see, them pistons look to be 2mm below the block mine are 2mm above that's 4mm
They have sent me black top rods
Looks Like I'll have some new black top rods for c20let pistons for sale.
Thanks again.

While I have your attention should I have the head machined to take cosworth plugs or is there some stranded size ones that will run cool enough at 400 bph.?
